OUR SALES POLICIES
Thank you for your interest in our goat herd. We wish you the best in your future goat endeavors. While we'd love to be able to provide you with a new goat, we realize not all goals align with ours. If you are looking for something we don't have, please contact us anyway. We'd love to give you recommendations of other farms all over the US who may have something you are looking for.
If you see something you'd like more information on, let us know! We do not allow visitors, but are happy to talk goats via texts, Facebook messenger, or phone. We are also willing to video chat or take extra pictures/video (within reason, if time allows).
Reservation Lists/Available Goats
Please feel free to contact us if there is a specific goat(s) or a goat from a specific breeding(s) you are interested in. A $100 deposit will hold your reservation until after birth. If a kid of the correct sex is not born, you can choose to move your reservation or receive a refund. Reservations are made by sex only. Color, eye color, horned/polled, etc. is not a valid reason to pass and receive a refund. If you do not want to reserve a kid/kids in advance, our Facebook page, High Dollar Farms, will provide the most up to date information regarding what is available. We do not keep generic waiting lists.
Deposits & Payments
To reserve an available goat, you must put down a nonrefundable deposit. Deposit amounts vary depending on what is being purchased. Deposits hold available goats for 7 days. Deposits can be sent by Venmo or PayPal. Our Venmo is @AHJordan1292 and our PayPal is highdollarretrievers@gmail.com. Payments must be sent friends and family ONLY. If they are not, they will be refunded. Please do not send payments without communicating first. By sending a deposit, the buyer agrees to all policies found on this site.
We reserve the right to cancel a sale if High Dollar Farms decides to retain a kid or decides the potential buyer is not a good fit. If either occurs, all payments will be refunded immediately.
Kid Pickup & Transport
Bottle kids must be picked up in a timely fashion. The timeframe for pickup will vary kid to kid but will be explained to you in writing before we accept a deposit. Age is a factor, and every available kid's expected pickup timeframe will be different unless reserved from birth. We do not under any circumstances bottle raise kids until weaning for buyers, however there are times where we may have slightly older bottle kids nearing weaning age we have decided not to retain. We are willing to work with transport for goats of any age if arranged in a timely manner.
Disbudding & Tattoos
Kids will be disbudded before leaving. If you'd like your kid(s) horned, you must pay for them in full (nonrefundable) before their disbudding timeframe. Some of our goats are polled, so sometimes we have polled kids available. Occasionally, a kid we have marked as polled will grow horns. PLEASE CONTACT US immediately if this occurs. Tattooing is the responsibility of the new owner, typically.
Registration
Registration will occur online only. No paper applications will be given. If you are not an ADGA member and would like registration, you must become a member and provide us with a member number to transfer ownership and register the kid(s). The registration will be placed in the new owner's cart within 30 days of pickup and paid in full. The new owner is responsible for all charges incurred for registration/transfer and must checkout within 30 days. High Dollar Farms is not responsible for submitting registration papers more than 60 days after pickup. Please be respectful of our time and effort.
Naming Registered Kids
At High Dollar Farms, we have themes and requirements for naming goats. Buyers may name their kids unless we have already chosen a name. Generally, we will require you to follow a theme. The name MUST be chosen and approved before registration can occur. We reserve the right to overrule any name we deem inappropriate or not thematic.
Kid Pricing
Registered kids are $400-$900. We will not sell a doe kid, as a pet, "without papers", and at a discounted rate unless she has a conformational defect, in which case the cost of the kid will be $250. Please do not tell us you "don't need papers" or "don't care about papers". We do not discount goats for someone not wanting papers. While we do offer pet wethers often, we do not offer pet quality does or bucks to be used for breeding at a discounted rate. Prices listed are non-negotiable unless otherwise noted. Any buckling purchased at advertised price can come with a wether if requested at no charge, depending on availability.
Wethers
Wethers are fixed male goats and make the best pets. They are $200 each. If they are bottle kids, they are intact when sent to their new home. It is up to the buyer to contact us to make arrangements when the buck is of age to be wethered (approximately 8 weeks old). If the buyer does not contact us in a timely manner and the buck becomes too old to wether by the banding method, then the buyer will have to make other arrangements.
A buck sold as a wether is never intended to be used as breeding stock and we are NOT responsible for the animal if you choose to keep it intact. There will be NO replacements given if a buck sold as a wether cannot reproduce. If you are looking for a breeding animal, we suggest choosing an available registered buck.
In the rare case we have available dam raised wethers, they will be banded before leaving the farm.
Guarantees
Registered goats sold by High Dollar Farms should not have any teat or testicular defects. If one is missed or shows up later, we will replace the goat after the return of the original goat's registration and within 18 months of purchase.
Registered goats sold by High Dollar Farms should not have any fertility issues. If suspicion arises, veterinarian examination is necessary. If sterility is confirmed, we will replace the goat after the return of the original goat's registration and within 18 months of purchase. Current owner is responsible for vet costs.
Registered goats sold by High Dollar Farms should not have any serious anatomical defects, such as a heart defect. If suspicion arises, veterinarian examination is necessary. If a defect is confirmed, we will replace the goat after the return of the original goat's registration and within 18 months of purchase. Current owner is responsible for vet costs.
Refunds are not provided. If the desired available replacement costs more than the original purchased animal, the buyer is responsible for any additional charges. If the desired available replacement costs less, the buyer will receive a credit.
Guarantees apply to the original purchaser only. If High Dollar Farm's buyer "A" sells their goat to buyer "B" before noticing any defects that would warrant replacement, then buyer "B" then has an issue, no replacements will be given.
Guarantees apply to registered goats only. Unregistered goats have no guarantees.
Any transport/boarding costs related to the cost of purchase are not refunded or replaced. Replacement animal must be picked up in Conway, SC or put on transport in Conway, SC.
Since management plays a large role in creating a thriving, correct dairy goat, we do not replace for other issues. Confirmational correctness and showring success is never a guarantee.
We make no guarantees on height.
CH is a big topic, as it should be. We have never had a homebred case of CH, that we are aware of. We do not replace for CH unless it occurs within the first 18 months of life. Management can and does cause CH to occur, therefore, we cannot be responsible for it as we do not have control of how others manage their herds.
